Ing. Simone Pietro Ercolani

With a degree in Mechanical Engineering and a PhD in Industrial Engineering from the University of Perugia, Simone Ercolani is a patent attorney before the Italian Patent and Trademark Office (UIBM) and a qualified European Patent Attorney before the European Patent Office (EPO). He also holds a DESU diploma in “Contentieux des brevets en Europe” from the University of Strasbourg and is a qualified Patent Litigator before the Unified Patent Court (UPC). Before embarking on the Industrial Property consultancy business, he worked as a designer and line manager for electro-medical devices in a company in the sector, acquiring solid applied technical-industrial experience.

Since 2005 he has been a member of Marietti, Gislon e Trupiano, where he is now head of the Perugia office. Her work focuses on patent advice in the mechanical, electronic and medical fields, taking care of every stage of the protection process: from the assessment of patentability to international extension, up to the defence of rights in administrative or judicial proceedings.
